Recognize yourself – and we will know how to help

There are no catalogs or technical specs here. Just five situations we see at production sites most often. If one of them is yours, click and read how we solve it.

Each of these problems is solvable. And each has a specific cause

Common situations

Five problems people come to us with most often

Click a challenge – we will show where to look for the cause and how we solve it.

A batch went bad. Mold or bacteria found in the product

Food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage production

It happens suddenly, and usually the raw materials or the technology are blamed first. But in most cases the source is air – the very air that enters the tank when filling or emptying, or that is supplied above the bottling line.

Tanks and vesselsEvery time it empties, outside air enters. Without protection – together with bacteria
Bottling lineAir for moving the product, purging containers and air knives touches the product directly
Steam for cookingProcess steam from the boiler carries particles and microorganisms – straight into the product on injection
How we solve it

We assess all points where air and steam enter the production process. We propose a specific protection scheme – sterile filters where the medium contacts the product.

The line stopped. The filter clogged early again

Any production – too frequent replacements, unplanned stops

If you change filters more often than planned, they are not working as they should. It is not that you are "dirtier". It is the design: cheap ones trap contamination only on the outside and clog quickly. Quality ones work through the whole depth of the material and last many times longer.

Pressure dropped in the systemA clogged filter creates resistance – the pump or compressor works harder, the line stops
You change them more than once a quarterFrequent changes are not normal. It is a sign: the wrong filter or pre-filtration stage was chosen
Every stop is moneyAn hour of downtime on a 5,000 L/h line is hundreds of thousands of tenge in lost output. Multiply by the number of stops per year
How we solve it

We ask about your current filters and change frequency. We calculate what the current solution really costs per year. And we offer a comparison – with no obligation.

Condensate in the pipeline. Pneumatics break, defects in the coating

Industrial production, painting, machine building – moisture in compressed air

Moisture in the air is invisible – until the pneumatics start breaking or paint defects appear. By then the damage is already done. The compressor compresses air together with water vapor – as it cools in the pipeline, the vapor condenses. Without drying, water destroys everything it passes through.

Pneumatics failValves, drives, tools – moisture destroys the seals. Service life drops 3–5 times
Craters in the coatingWater or oil droplets in the air during painting – the whole batch is rejected. Repainting costs more than a filter
The electricity bill growsA clogged filter forces the compressor to overwork – consumption keeps rising
How we solve it

We look at the compressor parameters and the task – and choose the right level of drying. For painting it is one class, for pneumatic tools another, for instrumentation a third.

An audit is coming. The inspector may request filter documents

Food production, exporters – BRC, FSSC 22000, IFS, retail chain inspections

Many do not think about it until the auditor asks: "Show the documents for the filters the air above the product passes through". If the filters are cheap generics without the required certificates, that is a non-compliance – even if they physically work fine.

BRC / FSSC 22000International safety standards. They require proof for materials contacting the product
Retail chain auditLarge retailers audit suppliers themselves. Failing the audit means losing the contract
Test protocolsNot the word "certified", but real material test protocols are needed. Donaldson provides them
How we solve it

We provide a full package of documents for all supplied filters – international EC 1935/2004, 3-A, ISO certificates, test protocols, declarations.

Reverse osmosis membranes fail before their time

Water treatment, food and beverage production – costly replacements

RO membranes are expensive elements. And their premature failure almost always has one cause: the water before the membrane is not clean enough. Suspended matter, iron and microorganisms gradually clog the membrane and cut its life several times over. A simple, cheap solution sits at the system inlet – and often it is simply missing.

Well waterSolid particles and biological contamination kill membranes without pre-filtration
City water supplyRust from pipes, microparticles – the water seems "clean", but not enough for a membrane
Biological foulingBacteria settle on the membrane surface and destroy it from the inside. It cannot be stopped without fine pre-filtration
How we solve it

We look at the water source and the system's condition – and select pre-filtration stages that will protect the membranes. The cost of proper protection is tens of times lower than one new membrane.

Did not find your situation? Describe the task – a Profair Solutions expert will suggest a solution.

Why Donaldson

Not just filters, but concrete results

+47%

Works longer without replacement

Donaldson Ultrafilter retains 47% more contaminants than standard analogues. Fewer stoppages – more output.

−27%

Cheaper over a year

One Donaldson cartridge replaces 2–4 analogues. The difference in purchase price pays off within 1–3 months of savings on maintenance.
